Glory to words, glory to sound, glory to the power of his Emperor Majesty Haile Selassie I the First.

My name is Collin McDonald, aka Fatsey D. I was born in the district of Portland Cottage, in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica, W. I. November 6. I grew up in the first mansion of the House of Rastafari, Nyabhingi. I grew up playing drums, of many kinds, singing and chanting from the age 12.

My dad was a sound system operator in the 1950’s, his favourite singer at the time was Fats Domino, and named me after him, in my teens I renamed myself, Fatsey D.

I wrote my first song in 1989, titled ‘Sailor Man’, followed by ‘Rent a car’
